[우분투 게임] Wormux – 포트리스와 비슷한 느낌의 게임

제목이 기억나지 않지만
벌레를 이용한 어떤 게임이 있었죠, 레밍즈였나? 비슷한 이름이었던 것 같은데
이 게임을 처음 봤을 때, 그런 느낌의 게임이려나 했는데
전혀 다른 게임이더군요.
게임 방식은 옛날에 잘 나갔었던 포트리스와 비슷합니다.
다양한 탱크를 고를 수는 없지만, 다양한 무기를 골라서 싸울 수는 있습니다.

일단 설치하는 법부터 설명드릴께요.

검색어로 wormux라고 치면 나옵니다.

좀 더 자세히 적자면
프로그램 추가/제거에 들어가신 후,
Games 목록을 누르시고, 검색어로 wormux를 치고 검색!
하나 밖에 없으므로 쉽게 찾으실 수 있습니다.

그 다음 게임 왼쪽 네모칸에 체크 이후에 변경 사항 적용을 선택하시면
이후에 설명에 따라 하시면 간단히 설치됩니다.

AMD 3700+, RAM 2gb, 8600gt정도의 사양에서 무리없게 돌아갑니다.
물론 그 이상이야 당연히 상관없겠지만,
그 이하도 플레이 가능할 거라고 생각합니다.

설정은 딱히 할 것이 없습니다.
FPS나 좀 올려주거나, 해상도를 조절하거나 하는 정도로
많은 옵션이 있지 않으므로 그냥 진행하셔도 무방할 정도입니다.

플레이를 누르고 들어가시면
팀 이름을 바꾸거나, 멤버 수를 바꾸거나, 팀 수를 늘리거나
맵을 바꾸거나, 한 턴의 시간 조절, 에너지양 조절 등이 가능합니다.
나름 다양한 맵이 존재합니다.

게임이 들어가면 이런 식으로 진행됩니다.
멤버들을 조종하여 적을 제거하는 게임입니다.
온라인으로 다른 사람과 하면 좀 더 재밌을 것 같습니다.

바람의 영향을 많이 받는 무기들이 있으므로, 항상 밑에 있는 바를 확인하는 게 좋습니다..

1번은 바주카 계열의 무기로
바주카 타입의 여러가지 무기중에 하나를 선택할 수 있습니다.
기본 무기는 무제한이지만, 다른 것들은 갯수 제한이 있으므로 잘 선택해야 합니다.
바주카 타입은 어딘가에 부딪혀야 폭발하는 특징을 가지고 있습니다.

2번은 총 계열의 무기입니다.
기본총은 단순하게 보이지만 맞추면 25나 피해를 줍니다.
거기에 기본총으로 적을 죽이면, 추가로 메세지가 떠서
적에게 정신적인 추가 대미지를 줄 수 있습니다.
스나이퍼건은 레이저가 총알이 어디로 나가는지 알 수 있게 해주며 25의 대미지
자동소총은 대미지가 5지만 10발을 쏠 수 있고
샷건은 총알이 나뉘어져 날라가는데, 역시 샷건의 묘미는 바로 앞에서 쏴주는 것!
40대미지가 확정되어 들어갑니다. (거기에 다른 폭발물과는 달리 자신은 안전합니다.)

3번은 폭탄계열입니다. 수류탄이나 다이너마이트는 시간에 따라 폭발하며
지뢰는 적에게 접촉하여 터집니다.
잘만 콘트롤하면 일반적인 궤적으로는 맞출 수 없는 곳이나, 공중폭발도 가능합니다.
거기에 한번 밖에 사용할 수 없지만 미식축구폭탄은 지형좋은 곳에서 이용하면
대미지만으로 적을 원킬시킬 수 있습니다.
다이너마이트는 던진 후 잠시동안 움직일 수 있으므로
적앞의 떨구고 도망가주도록 합시다.

4번은 적을 어느정도는 자동추적해주는 무기입니다.
적당히 겨냥만 잘하면 적을 인식하여 근처에 가서 터집니다.
대미지도 좋은 편이나, 갯수가 적습니다.
그리고 주위에 있는 것이 자신 하나 밖에 없는 경우에는
지형이 허용한다면 자신과 최대한 떨어지려 노력을 해줍니다.

5번은 특이한 아이템이 들어있습니다.
야구방망이, 주사기, 자살하는 아이템등등
실제로는 그다지 쓸모가 없지만 재미로 써보면 좋겠습니다.

6번은 특수아이템이 있습니다.
무작위순간이동아이템이나 떨어지는 스피드를 줄이는 아이템
물속에서 머물수있게 하는 아이템
높은 곳으로 이동시키는 아이템

보통은 화력전으로 이어질 확률이 높기에 아마도 그다지 쓸 일이 없겠지만
가끔 전략, 전술적으로 큰 이익을 볼 수 있다면 한번쯤 써봐도 좋겠습니다.

7번은 턴넘기기, 기본 설정상 1분이 지나면 자동으로 턴이 지나갑니다만
지겹다면 7번누르고 스페이스면 턴이 지나갑니다.

불통같은 것 주위에서 폭발물이 터지면 추가 대미지가 들어가기도 하고
높은 곳에서 떨어지거나, 떨어뜨리면 대미지를 입습니다.
그리고 포트리스처럼 하늘에서 보급품처럼 선물이 떨어집니다.
아이템이 들어 있거나, 에너지를 회복합니다.
처음 위치만 잘 잡으면 많이 먹을 수 있습니다.
무엇보다 유닛이 탱크가 아닌만큼, 점프도 가능하기 때문입니다.

무기들이 다양하고, 이동이 좀 더 편한 만큼
포트리스보다 더 흥미로운 부분도 많은 게임입니다.

[우분투 게임] 리눅스로 돌아온 소닉!- Open Sonic

지금 이십대 후반 이상인 분들이라면 소닉을 모르는 분은 없겠지요? 90년대 게임기의 전성시대를 풍미했던 캐릭터 소닉이 돌아왔습니다. Open Sonic! 물론 새로운 미션은 아니고 Sonic The Hedgehog 편의 무료판입니다. 윈도우도 가능합니다.

1. 설치하기

- 설치는 홈페이지(http://opensnc.sourceforge.net/home/index.php)의 다운로드 메뉴를 통해 받을 수 있습니다.

- 다운로드 메뉴에서 리눅스 버전을 선택하면 아래처럼 몇가지 선택의 예가 나와있습니다. 리눅스의 일반 버전은 물론 우분투, 데비안, 젠워크를 지원합니다.

- 리눅스 일반의 경우 소스와 바이너리 패키지를 tar.gz 압축파일 형태로 받을 수 있습니다. 우분투는 deb 패키지 파일입니다.

- 우분투용 파일은 32비트만 지원합니다. 64비트 사용자는 일반 바이너리 패키지를 받으시면 됩니다. 저는 64비트라 바이너리 패키지를 받았습니다.

- deb를 받으신 분은 더블클릭하면 자동으로 설치가 됩니다. 압축 파일을 받으신 분들은 원하는 폴더에 압축을 풀기만 하면 됩니다.

2. 하는 법

- 압축파일을 열어보면 opensonic 과 opensonic_launcher 라는 파일이 있습니다. opensonic파일을 클릭하면 터미널 실행 여부를 묻는데 ‘터미널에서 실행’을 선택합니다. ( opensonic_launcher 은 설정과 함께 게임을 할 수 있는 것 같습니다. 제 컴에서는 안되네요.) 그러면 위의 영상과 같은 메인 화면이 나옵니다.

- deb 패키지의 경우 메뉴에서 찾으면 됩니다.

3. 초보자를 위한 안내.

3명의 캐릭터가 나오는데 돌아가면서 조작하게끔 되어있습니다.
- Space 가 점프 및 회전입니다.
- 왼쪽 Ctrl 이 캐릭터 전환입니다.
- 아래로 방향키를 누른 상태에서 Space를 누르면 돌격상태가 됩니다.
- 소닉은 그냥 회전공격만 있어서 전투에 유리, 너클스는 벽에 붙을 수 있고 테일스는 꼬리로 하늘을 붕붕 날아다닙니다. 각 캐릭터의 특징을 잘 사용해야 미션을 해결할 수 있습니다.

여전히 소닉 시리즈는 나오고 있는 것으로 아는데 요새는 워낙 쟁쟁한 게임이 많은지라 소닉도 예전 만큼의 인기는 아닌 것 같습니다. 어린 시절 소닉과 함께 열심히 달려보셨던 분들이라면 옛 추억을 떠올리며 다시금 도전해보시는 것도 좋을 것입니다. 물론 ‘명작’인 만큼 처음하는 분들에게도 추천입니다.
